To Cal Thomas;

Although you now seem to believe that it’s better if you do not claim your Vatican II Catholicism when you write, it still seeps out. You are a “modern” Catholic; I am a “traditional” Catholic. I faithfully assist at a TLM in an SSPX Chapel, while you worship at a Novus Ordo Mass. We are both Catholics, however, although we have very different notions of what we should be doing as Catholics and what out Church is all about. These recent piece of yours underscores our differences.

You, as a modern Catholic have learned to separate God from politics. You proudly deny your affiliation with the one and only Church established by Jesus Christ as you offer your political opinions to the clueless followers of the media. You cleverly make the case for the foolish that God doesn’t get involved in these elections. Many, I’m sure will believe you. You suggest to those who will read and accept your counsel, that the Evangelicals must not believe that God had a hand in selecting Donald Trump as our president. As though somehow or another, you know better than most what God wants or doesn’t want.

Yes, the Evangelicals do believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, but so do Catholics––at least traditional Catholics and those who have rejected the heresy of Modernism and follow the immutable doctrines of the Catholic Church. Yet you criticize those Evangelicals who would place their faith in God. You criticize them for daring to believe that God will answer every one of their prayers––including those prayers that ask for His guidance and His assistance in selecting our nation’s leader. You’re a very foolish man.

Here’s a suggestion, Cal; sit down and write a letter of advice to the pope. Suggest to him that homosexual behavior is sinful and that despite what he says, it is his duty to judge whether the behavior of any one of us is offensive to God––just like it is your duty and mine. Tell Pope Francis that America is a nation that President Trump has a right to exclude non-citizens from her borders to protect the citizens, and that marriage with one’s first spouse is forever––regardless of how difficult it can be at times. There is much more you could tell him, for as you must know, that potential list of advice is near endless. Maybe then, after you’ve successfully straightened out the heretical thinking of the pope, maybe then you can get to work on the Evangelicals.

After the damnable deification of St Obama to say anything of Trump by anyone in the media is suspect, and not to be considered reasonable.

Well, I wsn’t voting for Hillary and I wasn’t voting for no one.

Just who the heck does Cal Thomas propose that we vote for then for president?

Would he really rather Hillary had won?

FU Cal Thomas. I don’t “serve” either Trump or your narrow religious view.

I support the best person to lead this country and proud of it.
