UNITED KINGDOM, March 23, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Despite his years of denouncing religion, Richard Dawkins does not welcome a European future without Christianity.
On Wednesday, the atheist author and evolutionary biologist warned those inclined to “rejoice at the death throes of the relatively benign Christian religion” to keep in mind the danger of "something worse" taking its place.
That worse alternative, Dawkins suggests, is Islam, which he has previously called “the most evil religion in the world.”
Dawkins was reacting to a Guardian report on recent polling that shows 70% of people in the United Kingdom between the ages of 16 and 29 do not identify with any religion, that 59% of them never attend religious services, and that almost two-thirds of them never pray.
The research, published by theology and sociology professor Stephen Bullivant of St. Mary’s University in London, finds similarly high numbers in other European nations. Sweden, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic all have even higher percentages of non-religious young people, while the young populations of France, Belgium, and Hungary are all more than 60% non-religious. More than half of the age group in Finland, Denmark, Norway, and Spain is non-religious, as well.
“Christianity as a default, as a norm, is gone, and probably gone for good – or at least for the next 100 years,” Bullivant says. “Cultural religious identities just aren’t being passed on from parents to children. It just washes straight off them.”

You probably know that was Richard Dawson. I wouldn’t want anyone confused with Richard Dawkins.
This stereopticon's religion is statistics as they wish them.
And Richard, you helped to bring it about.
Heinlein is another author who vigorously attacked Christianity. I have been thinking of an essay: The lies Heinlein sold me.
A rather uncomfortable question given who's asking it. Give Dawkins this much: unlike many militant atheists, he doesn't stick to the easy targets who won't fight back. I hope he realizes they'll kill him for it.
Peddling secularism is a short-term distraction. Human nature is fundamentally religious. If they don’t get true religion, they will turn to “something worse.”
The loss of Christianity as a religion is fait accompli. The clock now ticks to the percentage of the Muslim cultural brownout colonists in the populations which will occupy land and political office: invasion without one shot fired.
If Dawkins stated this in his native England he might be subject to arrest. The Bobbies no longer give a crap about real crime but sure luv to arrest people for saying stuff like this.
People who don’t believe in anything will eventually be ruled by people who do.
Robert A. Heinlein was the premier science fiction writer of the 20th Century. His works will, I think, stand the test of time.
This is a point I constantly make whenever I am having a discussion with atheists. They don't seem to grasp that they aren't going to get their way on abolishing religion. If they succeed in driving out Christianity, they are going to get something much worse.
Their notion of a religious free society is just contrary to human nature, and will not happen.
So Dawkins is just now realizing this?
