Jesus had to deal with the 'majority' Jewish religious view. The 'majority' Jewish religious view crucified Jesus. 1st century Believers were a minority relative to their 1st century Jewish anti-Christian brethren.

A majority does not make one right and a majority does not constitute truth.

Jesus is the Way, Truth and Life - not any church.
