Well, it's hard to throw off a lifetime of Catholic indoctrination and mindset all at once. I threw it off pretty quickly, when I left the RCC.

Like so many others who were killed by Rome, he taught the truth and was used to recover the Gospel of salvation - by grace and apart from works.

Difference is, you weren’t a priest, Luther didn’t have the advantage of discipleship from strong believers who presented the truth to him, and he grew up and lived in a culture absolutely permeated with Catholic thinking.
