The Cardinal declared it today, March 6, 2018, to Sir on the margins of the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) meeting - which now works in close contact with the Migrants and Refugees section of the Department for the Service of Integral Human Development - in Rome.
The Holy See knows that it must work in the conditions that arise. We cannot have the society that we want, we cannot have the conditions we would like to have. I therefore believe that, even in this situation, the Holy See will continue its work of education, which will take a long time, the Cardinal says.
For Parolin, the important thing is to be able to educate the population to move from negative to a more positive attitude towards migrants. Its an ongoing task, that keeps on even if the conditions may be more or less favorable. On the part of the Holy See there will always be this willingness to propose its message based on the dignity of people.
Parolin advises Catholic organizations committed at the forefront to welcome and integrate migrants, to continue their efforts to promote a balanced and positive perception of migration. Because there are so many positive aspects of migration that within all this complexity are not perceived
The purple hat then urges the organizations to continue their work in the field because this distinguishes and characterizes them, but at the same time, to not be afraid to help the population to this new approach.
On the need to reconcile the security needs of citizens and the needs of those fleeing difficult situations, he observes, It is not easy, we must recognize it. But this is a challenge for politics, to reconcile the two essential requirements. It is logical that citizens must feel safe and protected, but at the same time we cannot close our doors in the face to those who are fleeing situations of violence and threat.
In this regard, he calls for another fundamental aspect which is that of working together. It is a guideline: considering the difficulty, wanting to find solutions and doing it all together.
In his speech to the Commissions Plenary Assembly (ending on 8 March), Parolin confided that Now migration is on the agenda of every meeting I have with the governmental authorities who come to the Vatican, or whom I go to visit.
As the Pope says, A change of attitude towards migrants and refugees is needed, the Vatican Secretary of State admonishes. One of the difficult tasks most urgently demanded today - he observes - is precisely that of working to bring about this change of attitude, abandoning the dominant culture of waste and rejection.
Then Parolin recalls the need for a real and fair cooperation and sharing of the responsibilities and burdens associated with the reception of migrants.
Parolin also emphasizes many young peoples counter-trend approach to migrants, In contrast to closed attitudes, however, we see the positive approach of many young people who consider migration to be a normal dimension of society, which has been made so interdependent by fast connections, by communications, and by the need for relationships on a global scale. These are dimensions in which we can certainly see the signs of the times that prompt solidarity on a global acale.
Elections: Parolin, We will continue to educate the population to a positive approach to migration
Prophecy from Joel, spoken of by Peter being fulfilled. Oh, and the American tax payers are footing Rome’s fake charities.
Until recently I embraced the warm idea that this immigration stuff was based on care for the poor and human kindness. Then the Dreamer Programs brought to light the hand in glove work with Soros. Now Parolin boasts of educating the people. The entire ruling class of Catholic hierarchy are totalitarians. Sad to say, we cannot trust anyone?
