Very touching displays of the regard in which Billy Graham was held by the people of NC, every overpass, firemen and firetrucks, people pulled over and out paying their respects. Asheville to Charlotte is over 2 hrs drive and this has been the case the entire distance, with people lining five and six deep in the towns and cities along the way.
Very touching.
This reminds me of the motorcades in CA when Reagan’s body was being transported. We were living in Simi Valley at the time, and every overpass was packed with people, flags, and signs. The roads were lined with people several deep. All cars stopped in respect. The trip normally takes about 45 minutes, but it took them about two hours.
