His apology doesn't even pass as repentance. "Might having gone a bit too far" isn't cutting it. Anyone who knowingly and unrepentantly sins, is not showing the fruit of being a Christian.
My salvation is based on Christ alone and his finished work on the cross, so I don't know what Bible you are reading from. Keeping the Commandments? Do you not know that they are impossible to keep, therefore Christ is necessary for all to believe and rely on? That is Christianity 101. If you fail that test, you are by definition, not a Christian, no matter what you hope and think you are.
