There can only be one “Most High….” , therefore Jesus tells us first of all, in this teaching on the soul and it’s value, that we must be willing to deny self to be his disciple.”
Amen. Self worship (pride)was the original sin of the Devil.
“...but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.”
This verse came to mind when I read of the coach who threw himself in front of the children, sacrificing his live to save theirs.
“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Mat. 25:40
