Yes, that’s the “fourth vow” (in addition to the usual 3, poverty, chastity, obedience). Bergoglio is a Jesuit, and additionally a huge number of his friends, vatican aides, colleagues, special appointees (as the article says they “hang around Santa Marta” without any specified position) are Jesuits.

Jesuits are understood to have pretty extreme beliefs, or RATHER LACK of BELIEF, in Blessed Sacrament. Notice it is no longer mentioned. eucharist.. Thr FIRST line of this article most significant.

I believe it, because it is already happening.

Veritatis Gaudium, signed by Pope Francis on 8 December 2017 and promulgated on 29 January 2018. It "updates" the 1979 apostolic constitution Sapientia christiana.

As you see, it is sufficiently ambiguous so that it does not say "blind faith in Bergoglio". It says instead,

"in full communion with the Authentic Magisterium of the Church, above all with that of the Roman Pontiff."

See what they did there? It diagrams interestingly: with (object of preposition) Authentic Magisterium (and) with (object of preposition) THAT OF THE ROMAN PONTIFF, (modified by the adjective phrase), "above all."

It will be so similar to other, authentic oaths of loyalty, that the only difference is that slithering phrase, "above all."

Some wouldn't even notice the difference.

But it all rides on that. "Above all." Above all 265 previous Pontiffs (?) Above Councils and Catechisms (?) --- (new catechism will be made!) Above the Apostles (?); above Christ (?)

"Above all."

Veritatis Gaudium has already imposed this on certain ecclesiatical faculties in certain pontifical institutes. It is poised to be expanded further, to bishops, to all clergy.

It'll be slipped in without fanfare --- some predict--- as soon as the Holy Thursday liturgy.

I don't know any "highly-placed sources." I am totally ignorant of "insider baseball." I just know what's already out there.

I used to think it was deliberately disrespectful to call a pope by his family name, e.g. Montini, Wojtyla, Ratzinger, etc. But I recently realized that, especially for popes who, as authors, have published scholarly or popular writings in their own name their pre-papal days, it's actually common esp. in academic circles.

I can't say I'm totally comfortable with that, but especially in Europe, it's more common to refer to popes by their family names, unless referring to official "Actae Apostolicae Sedis".

Well, there's your Catch-22. The soi-disant "progressives" would love to force the rest to pledge a kind of Peronist Allegiance to Pope Francis, giving the peronist-papalists an easy reason to sack the normal Catholics from the faculties, chanceries, rectories.

On the other hand, the more thinky peronists may realize that this could backfire as soon as Francis is not pope anymore. After all, the guy is 81, and getting another -- specimen --- like him from the next conclave is not a slam dunk.

They won't want to absolutize the concept of "personal papacy" ("Le eglise c'est moi") if the next pope is a Catholic.

For God it is simple, as God is simple. But we humans, rather we sinners, make it complicated. If no one would had sinned, it would have remained simple, just love God and neighbor.
The angels too are simple because they have no body. We humans are both body and soul and thus enters the variety of expressions and needs as well as the many ways to love God as well as the many ways to say no to God which we call sin.
If I want the world and religion the way I want it, then I am in trouble because I did not create myself nor the world. I seek the truth and reality outside of my little head, from God. Otherwise I will not spend eternity with God.
God does not force anyone to accept the truth from God nor to spend eternity with him in heaven. We are free. If I demand to be in charge, then I will not spend eternity in heaven where there is only one God, not two. In hell everyone thinks he is in charge and invents the truth and reality according to himself. But in hell who is in charge? The one who is the strongest. Might makes right! The one who is the strongest is called Satan!

I agree with you. It may not happen as we might think because Satan disguised himself as an angel of light (2Cor 11:14). “For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect” (Mt 24:24).
But there are many prophecies that indicate that this period will be very difficult and painful. There is less prayer and more sin than ever before; it is we who have given this power to our mortal enemy to deceive us!

How does Christ refer to those who do not want to open their eyes to THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES, to those who have embraced the philosophy of life of “ignorance is bliss”? “YOU HYPOCRITES! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky; but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?” (Lk 12:56; Mt 16:3; 24:32-33,51)! “Take heed that no one leads you astray. … many false prophets will arise and lead many astray” (Mt 24:4-9). “Let the reader understand” (Mt 24:15). “There will be false teachers among you …” (2Pt 2:1-3). “None of the wicked shall understand; but those who are wise shall understand” (Dan 12:9-12).
