Prayers
Prayers for your Grandson, you, and family!
I’m so happy for your family. I pray all goes well. I do know what you’re going through. My Hub was diagnosed last April with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Since he’s a typical male and looked for reasons NOT to go to the doctor for his shortness of breath, he got so ill he had to go to the doctor. A few days of tests in the hospital gave us the news. Only a double lung transplant could save him. It wasn’t until September that he was put on the list and they wanted to hold him off till February because of a stint put in in August but he just go sicker. They had to change that because he was getting worse so on December 23 (his birthday) he received 2 new lungs. I spent Christmas thinking about the family that didn’t have their loved one to celebrate but I was also thankful for my Hub’s new lease on life. I hope one day to thank that wonderful family but it would have to be on their terms. God bless you and I thank Him and will pray for little Jaxson and a long, happy life.
Prayers up...
Joining you in prayer, in Jesus Holy Name.

P.S. This reminds me of when my stepfather received an artifical valve in his heart at a Delaware hospital. He died 24 hours later. He was 89. Happened 2 and 1/2 years ago, and in turn happened 24 years after he received a quad bypass at the same hospital. My eyes are welling at the thought of my stepdad.
Praying for all. God bless.
Praise God
Prayers for a successful operation.
Prayers that all goes well in the surgery, and for a full and speedy recovery for your grandson !
Praying for your grandson and family!
Thanks so much for all your prayers! Just wanted to drop a quick update, they have arrived in Pittsburg and are finally getting a little sleep. She was not sure when she left what the schedule will be, but said probably wont be until about noon their time from what she is getting tonight. I still have a couple hours of work left tonight so wont be up early... at least 10 Az. time before I will be on, but the power of prayer is amazing and the reason I asked you all for them!
Jaxson loves airplanes, they have had to go back to Pittsburg once a year for evaluations... He knows them as his rocket ship... and this little fast Leer Jet tonight was his best ride yet over the big commercial planes...
As she said to me on the way to the airport, this is not going to make everything problem free from now on, just going to get him off TPN and the pumps every day. It will change the problems we face to new ones and going to have to learn new stuff again for him. i.e. He will not eat any food period, He will drink water but beyond that, maybe licking the salt off french fries or potato chips... then tossing them to the dogs... 5 years of eating nothing may be hard to change... but the thought is that the TPN made anything taste like tinfoil (heard this from an adult) so maybe off that, he will make the transition.
This also probably postpones her plans for later this year, she had finally got her GED and got accepted to GCU for nursing school. She thinks she might be able to do some pre-requisite things online while she is gone... This transplant means she just moved to Pittsburg for at least 6 months and maybe 12 or more... depending on his progress. Last night at dinner we had no idea it was the last one with them for a year... but NO complaints!
Thank you for the update.
Prayers Lifted
Thanks again, keep them coming everything is going smoothly so far... This is but one of the branches, we can feel the power of the huge prayer chain working!
Just got another call, they scheduled Jaxson for 3pm Pennsylvania time, for a 8 to 16 hour surgery. The donor child is still on life support to keep organs good and his or her family will be probably be saying final goodbyes soon, so I am sure they can use all the prayers they can get too... this is so bittersweet!
Prayers for all - including the donor child and his or her family.
Praying for baby Jaxson and family.
PRAISE THE LORD!
I just got word from my daughter.
“They are done. I saw a picture of his brand new intestines and liver, they are beautiful and perfect. He should be up here in a few minutes, they are just finishing stitching him up. They were able to close his belly all the way, which they were very concerned about and would require intubation and sedation until they could in a couple of days. He did not need blood the whole procedure and did great, everything went as planned.”
Looks like they were right down the middle of the estimated 8-16 hours at about 12 hours by my guestimate.
THANK YOU JESUS!
Prayer up for Jaxson and all of you. And the donors family of course. Bittersweet. Keep us posted.
