I’ve noticed some religious statements on old TV shows.
For example, I recently saw the first episode of “The Real McCoys” , with Walter Brennan. In that show, the family traveled from West Virginia to a farm they inherited in California. In that episode, Walter Brennan thanked God for getting them to California safely, and thanked God for the rundown farm they would be living at. And he also thanked God for giving them the strength and materials needed to rebuild the farm and get it up and running.
It occurred to me that you would never see such a scene in a TV show made today.
I saw that one recently as well. You must have amazon prime too. :)
God is mentioned all over the place in those fifties and early 60’s TV shows. What is interesting is that the ones most endeared today don’t really mention God all that much. I’m thinking Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, The Lucy Show, etc.
Kinda weird.
I saw a British movie about the last Christian emperor of Rome, a child taken to Britain. The ONLY reference to Christianity was when the barbarian smashed the crown with a cross on it.
Other British movies along the same line do everything they can to show early Christianity in bad light.

So true, and they just leave religion out of the shows, they openly mock Christianity.

Sad isn’t it? Hollywood kicked God out and now kids are exposed to real crap these days- no wonder they have no respect for anyone anymore- the old shows taught kids how to be respectful and obedient- todays shows teach kids how to back sass their elders and people in authority
