The Episcopal church in the Diocese of Washington, D.C., passed a resolution last week to stop using masculine pronouns for God in future updates to its Book of Common Prayer.

Maybe it’s a sign of the times. Maybe this is an example of the great falling away.

We may indeed be living in the Messianic Era. However, the Piskie “church” is so moribund that it may not live to see the next page unfold. Mostly old, almost no young people, only rare baptisms to speak of and lots of deaths. Half the parishes can’t afford a full time priest, whose average age is approaching 60. And the national average Sunday attendance nationwide is lower than the average aggregate NFL attendance. Recent declines included.

So no, what ever TEC does makes no difference. They’re done.
