What? Are you saying a Catholic Church will take a person’s word that they were baptized without documentation? Never heard this before

Yes, I was baptized in a Baptist Church when I was 12. Protestant paperwork is often non existent regarding baptism, as mine was. If you are over a certain age, you can sign it yourself with the date, where it was done, and the minister’s name. I did mine that way myself, my Mom had the date, but the church had no records of anything.

The form has a spot for two witnesses of the baptism, but states if you are over a certain age, you can sign it yourself. I just did this about three years ago, we had our marriage in a Catholic Church April 15 of 2017, we were married in 1987.
