Bethel Church, a controversial megachurch in California, said there is no truth in the accusation that it promotes New Age occultism by using "Destiny Cards," which critics likened to tarot cards.
The 8,000-member church in Redding was accused of working with a Melbourne, Australia-based group known as Christalignment, which claims to have worked with many churches in that country to do such readings, but Bethel responded by saying that Christalignment is not formally affiliated with Bethel and nor does it use "Christian tarot cards."
Bethel admitted the leaders of Christalignment, Ken and Jenny Hodge, are connected with several of their church members as the Hodges are the parents to church evangelist Ben Fitzgerald, and said the church leaders "have a value for what they are seeking to accomplish."

A lot of people are naïve. There are people who are Christians but still believe in astrology of even actual Tarot card fortune telling.
Was a thread on this story the other day. Devolved into a Catholics versus Protestants donnybrook.
I saw it mentioned on a thread, but didn’t see it posted as a thread.
Did Bethel account for all the other evil practices and heresies they enjoy? Just curious.
I doubt it.
It’s all the spirit of God, dontcha know?
And it didn’t take long at that.
I found it. Never saw it when it was initially posted though.
Probably to the same extent McArther did for his.
“Read your horoscope, cheat your fate”
All I can say... you can’t ever get one-up on God’s plans. The most merciful thing that can happen is that... you just fail. But it could get worse.
I know... I’ve tried to read the figurative cards, only to see that was another test of what I’d do when it didn’t happen like I hoped and wished it would.
When you’re in a “righteousness build” phase then you might as well throw all the predictions out the window. You keep begging and begging and begging God till something comes through and you see how it actually makes sense when the other things didn’t. Because the other things were too small, not because they were too large. Wealth in God’s kingdom is denominated in something that transcends dollars.
If I had a beef about that line of theology, it’s that it posits achieved perfection while trying to deny perfectionism. I eventually walked away from it as not being able to even pretend it could be true. I wanted to scream at MacArthur at times... well, what makes you so cocksure Jesus is your Lord in every way yet. Because you’d have to be, in order to fulfill your own theology.
The salvation promise to the yet imperfect is far more powerful. And it’s a lot less prone to arrogance.
LOL good one
This statement is so technically worded and evasive that it makes me even more suspicious. It looks like a denial the Clinton’s would write.

Be sure to note the Soaking Up the Anointing practice. Wow!
What bothered me was both the phrases of *the Christ* and *the Christ spirit*.
HUGE red flags.
