This is exactly what the type of thing the book of Revelation is referring to when the angel warns to “flee Babylon”. Those in the PCUSA would be wise to take heed.

Even these numbers are suspect and few of the members they have actually attend church on a regular basis. The PCA (traditional orthodox Presbyterian denomination) has more people in the pews on Sundays than the PCUSA despite having a fraction of the members claimed by PCUSA.
