The Salvation Army sets up outside our local Jewel grocery store here in Chicagoland, and last year, continuing to this year, I have tried to give $1 every time I go there, and last year I gave a $20 kicker just before Christmas, so I guess I will do so again.
I hope this doesn’t sound selfcongratulatory, but I guess one might consider it that way. Last year, they would always say “Merry Christmas!” but last week I got a “Happy Holidays” . I was on the verge of saying, “Hey ...” but I held my tongue. Today I got a “Merry Christmas!” from a very attractive young lady.
The left is losing its war on Christmas. The guy behind the desk at the Dept of Motor Vehicles wished me a "Merry Christmas" today!
