These days Georgetown is about as Catholic as the current Pope.
Since the publication of Solzhenitsyn’s Gulag Archipelago in 1973, and the ideological crumbling of Communism, identity politics is all the Left has. They wasted no time installing faculty (at all levels of education) eager to push a reductive, facile narrative of power and oppression.
Everything that has transpired in secular education has had its parallel in the Catholic hierarchy (the saying, “as goes the Church, so goes the world” indeed applies here, albeit with several years’ delay).
And the Church will do nothing about this.
