Intellectual evangelical. Interesting term. As though there are only a few of them. Is there some connection between smarts and finding eternal truth? And he found it in the church of Rome?

Intellectual evangelical. Interesting term.

The backhanded implication is that Evangelicals tend to be intellectual troglodytes while Catholics are intellectually enlightened.

They're soooo enlightened, their church is compose mostly of those who have completely jettisoned God's word.

Let’s not mince words.

Let’s just come out and say what you really mean to say.

Catholics who have this view, view themselves better than or superior than others.

These Catholics view themselves as the only true Christians.

They aren’t saved by GRACE, but merely by belonging to and being a member in good standing of the Catholic church.

“They aren’t saved by GRACE,...”

You appear to have no clue what that word means. Nor do you have the ability to judge the state of the souls of others. Your hideous and blasphemous arrogance is on full display. Have you no shame?

So, he’s an “intellectual” who lacks discernment.

Save it.

Grace is being saved by nothing more than the work of Christ upon the cross. A free gift. Simply believing that Jesus is who he said he is and that what he did is enough for salvation from my sins.

Nothing I do can help earn my way into salvation.

Nor do you have the ability to judge the state of the souls of others.

Funny... no where did I judge others or claim the state of their souls.

Your hideous and blasphemous arrogance is on full display.

What exactly was the blasphemy?

You like to throw the word around. Let's see the context.

As far as arrogance...

You should talk....

"Tyler Lynch, a young millennial convert, grew up as an intellectual Evangelical..."

First, he's a young millennial.
Second...he grew up???

If he's a young millennial, he's hardly grown up.

You keep throwing words around.
Words have meaning.
Point to where I am wrong.
Or stop responding.

For the Son of man shall come ... and then will he render to every man according to his works.

Which has nothing to do with justification.

I’m glad he found a new church, I wonder when he will find Christ...

Ephesians 2:8-9 (the Bible)
8 For by GRACE you have been saved THROUGH FAITH.
And this is not your own doing;
it is THE GIFTof God,
9 NOT a result of works,
SO THAT NO ONE MAY BOAST.

You call me arrogant.
I “boast” strictly on the work of Christ on my behalf.

You claim works.

Then he can intellectually LEAVE the Church of Rome. It would be best to go non-denominational.

Yawn. Despicable creeps are boring.

Seems to me, instead of responding with salient points, you prefer ad hominem attacks.

Intellectualism is not Spirit revealed Truth.

He may know about God but that doesn’t mean he KNOWS God.

Cherry picking snippets of verses and sticking them together has caused you to post error contrary to Scripture.
