Speaking of Roman Catholic history...I wonder how Sedevacanists and the SSPX folks rectify their "we have an
unbroken line of Apostolic Succession going back to Peter" with their denial of having a valid Pope for the last sixty some years? There's also the issue of
Unam Sanctum, an ex-cathedra pronouncement from 1302 of Pope Boniface VIII where he stated:
Furthermore, that every human creature is subject to the Roman pontiff, - this we declare, say, define, and pronounce to be altogether necessary to salvation.
Looks like a few catch-22 issues they have.
