On All Hallows' Eve, a perverted monk in Upper Saxony, possessed by the prince of darkness, divided Christendom forever, and deprived billions of souls of Sacramental life.

Bergoglio Vatican celebrates Protestant Revolt with a stamp
If any Pope spoke ex cathedra and took a contrary position what would happen?
How many times has a pope spoken ex cathedra on matters of faith and morals?
The bosom of Abraham is just a name for the place the righteous dead awaited judgement. The place was Sheol and seems to have a place of torment and had a place of comfort (where the righteous were) The lake of fire does or 2nd death does as of yet not exist.
About how much longer should we expect to see your near daily raving snits about Martin Luther posted to the RF? Do you imagine you get an indulgence for doing so?
The anniversray of his revolt ends tonight.
No need to worry about any Luther posts from me tomorrow. I have better things to do, like celebrating All Saints’ Day.
Upshot: Luther was a sinner.
Then why did he dispense with the Holy Sacrament of Confession with absolution?
He didn’t. http://lsb.cph.org/samples/LSB_Sampler.pdf
See p. 86 of the sample of the Lutheran Service Book (Hymnal p. 292).
See also the beginning of any service, e.g., pp. 27 and 44 of that sampler (Hymnal pp. 151 and 184)
“Sure they would if those church authorities were heretics.”
Except “heretics” are whoever the church authorities declare to be heretics. Using your own individual judgement on such matters would itself be heresy.

The postage stamp issued by the Philatelic Office for the occasion depicts in the foreground Jesus crucified and in the background a golden and timeless view of the city of Wittenberg. With a penitential disposition, kneeling respectively on the left and right of the cross, Martin Luther holds the Bible, source and destination of his doctrine, while Philipp Melanchthon, theologian and friend of Martin Luther, one of the main protagonists of the reform, holds in hand the Augsburg Confession (Confessio Augustana), the first official public presentation of the principles of Protestantism written by him.
we are very thankful for the spiritual and theological gifts received through the Reformation, a commemoration that we have shared with and with our ecumenical partners globally.
[a] pilgrimage, sustained by our common prayer, worship and ecumenical dialogue,
Again, it has become clear that what we have in common is far more than that which still divides us.
[and]
Looking forward, we commit ourselves to continue our journey together, guided by God's Spirit, towards the greater unity according to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Vatican honors Martin Luther with stamp & issues Joint Statement with Lutherans
It's become obvious to me that you don't know what you're talking about when it regards the Catholic Church.
There can no longer be any doubt: Bergoglio is a Lutheran. His goal is a formal, official, juridical, sacramental unification of the Lutheran churches (actually, only the ones with female, lesbian bishops) and the Church of Rome.
At some point, some Catholic bishops are going to announce that Bergoglio is no longer a Catholic, and they are therefore no longer in union with him.
But they will be few.
The majority of “Catholic” bishops will remain “in union with the Catholic Church”—i.e., in union with the gang that controls the Vatican City State.
