Not pleasant, but the Anabaptists were also Anti-Catholic, and I don’t think the Catholics were much nicer to them. Then there were what the radical Anabaptists did when they took up arms. Christendom in general has had it’s share of things not very praiseworthy.

I totally agree with you. The event should have never been permitted to take place inside a Catholic sanctuary.
The proper place for a Protestant celebration is in a Protestant venue (or a rented public venue) and if Catholic leaders want to attend simply to be neighborly then that’s fine.
But I 100% agree that this was not the place for this event.

You misunderstood my sentiments. I am a Protestant but I do not support Protestant events taking place in a Catholic sanctuary.
