Sure it is in Scripture and it's defended here below:
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.
Luke 1:28 "And coming to her, he said, "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you." The Greek kecharitomene means favored by grace, graced. Its tense suggests a permanent state of being "highly favored," thus full of grace. Charity, the divine love within us, comes from the same root. God is infinite Goodness, infinite Love. Mary is perfect created goodness, filled to the limit of her finite being with grace or charity.
Bad translation leading to bad theology. The DR is only one of two translations to render the passage this way.
Pretty much every other translation renders the word in question as "highly favored."
Mary was not immaculately conceived as has been shown numerous times before in these threads.
BTW...it's considered to be intellectual honesty to document your source. I know you didn't come up with this.
Satan hates the Blessed Virgin Mary. In fact, he has been doing everything in his power to discourage devotion to her and instill hatred for her for two millennia. Have you ever noticed that it is Marian dogmas and devotions that stir the strongest reactions in those who reject the Church?
...
This web site is dedicated to Mary Most Holy, the Great Mother of God, to invoke her aid in Defense of the Faith and our Catholic Tradition, in anticipation of the Reign of her Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, Sovereign King. We support the Catholic Restoration through the promulgation of the Traditional Latin [Roman] Mass along with all of the Sacraments in this most holy rite.
Sources: EWTN and the Bible; not a heretical website.
Roman Catholics don’t like the quotes from these pages. They expose the extent of the worship of Mary.
God starts by addressing Satan, telling him he is going to eat dirt for the rest of his days. Then he reveals something that makes Satan cringe in horrorhis ultimate defeat will come at the hands of a woman.
And I will establish a feud between thee and the woman, between thy offspring and hers; she is to crush thy head, while thou dost lie in ambush at her heels (Genesis 3:15, Knox)
Now, scholars argue about whether or not the pronoun is masculine or feminine in the sentence, She is to crush thy headthat is, whether it refers to the Virgin Mary or Jesus Christ. But Im going to let you in on a little secret: it doesnt matter. You see, Jesus is going to crush Satan through Mary. She is the instrument Jesus is going to wield when he destroys his ancient enemy.
Well, the rendering does matter.
Roman Catholicism continues to place the emphasis on Mary.
What it misses is that Satan is already defeated. He was defeated well before the Genesis account.
Jesus is not crushing Satan through Mary. He's crushing Satan on His own...no help needed from ANYONE.
Roman Catholicism's own New Advent admits the Vulgate translation of Gen 3:15 cannot be defended critically.
The translation "she" of the Vulgate is interpretative; it originated after the fourth century, and cannot be defended critically. http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/07674d.htm
Further, it states this regarding the Immaculate Conception:
No direct or categorical and stringent proof of the dogma can be brought forward from Scripture.
To get the IC, Roman Catholicism has to practice eisegesis, that is reading something into the text this is not there...not exegesis.
She is the instrument Jesus is going to wield when he destroys his ancient enemy.
Wow....how wrong can this guy be?
20And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. 21And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh. Rev 19:20-21 NASB
If he can't get this right then the rest of the article is bogus.
You copied it all from EWTN.
The problem with this train of thought is it means everyone of Mary's ancestors would have to be immaculate as well.
Further it insinuates sinless Jesus would somehow be corrupted through birth to Mary.
That's a pretty low estimation of God and His abilities.
It further explains why Roman Catholicism has to elevate Mary to such lofty heights....Jesus is somehow unable to do things on His own.
Yes, I did. And I gave you the source, a Catholic one.
What’s your problem? You copy stuff all the time from heretical websites.
Catholic also don't like quotes from the Koran.
Got any more astute observations?
Yeah...after I called you on it.
Whats your problem? You copy stuff all the time from heretical websites.
Yeah...and I post the link. I call it the Salvation rule. You copy it...you post the link.
Where did you come up with that nonsense?
It was just an overlook on my part. Mea culpa.
Get over yourself.
That she recognized she needed a Savior would be next.
Thanks for exposing your hypocrisy. If Mary was not immaculate, neither was Her Son, Jesus Christ.
I'm sorry you doubt the Angel Gabriel's annunciation and power of the Holy Ghost.
Catholic also don't like quotes from the Koran.
Got any more astute observations?
Well, your pope did kiss the Koran.
The CCC does say
841 The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day.
Muslims do not acknowledge the Creator as revealed in the Bible.
They do not adore God...they adore Allah.
The CCC is incorrect.
If they deny it, why will they not hide it as opposed to putting it out there for all to see?
Thanks for exposing your hypocrisy. If Mary was not immaculate, neither was Her Son, Jesus Christ.
Thanks for showing your limited intellect and your low faith of His abilities.
I'm sorry you doubt the Angel Gabriel's annunciation and power of the Holy Ghost.
I don't doubt what Luke recorded. I question how Roman Catholicism understands it. There is a difference.
Of course She recognized that. Why shouldn't She?
Oh, I didn't say they deny it....they don't like it exposed as it demonstrates the depth of their worship of Mary.
Many of the quotes are in opposition to what is revealed in Scripture as well....not that that has ever stopped Roman Catholicism.
