Care to cite specific examples? Nobody believed in Luther's doctrine of extrinsic grace before Luther. Seems like he certainly "altered ... the interpretation of the Gospel". Does he get a free pass from you?

You could think that but it wouldn’t be correct. I think most Catholics are Christian. I don’t believe that the RCC organization is Christian. The universal (small c catholic) church is Jesus and the body of believers, not the last vestiges of a dead empire in Rome and certainly not in a Marxist Pope who was elected by the organization’s Cardinals.

No one? Rome was executing Reformers for a century before Luther. And there was this guy named Paul. Ask your priest about him.
