Why?
Revelations and Daniel.
Links that will help me understand GOG, Israel and the destruction of the Christian West.
There’s no such thing as the book of “Revelations.”
What will be, will be, in His time.
The only thing we need to be concerned with is keeping our lamps full of oil.
How about Saint Johns Apocalypse?
Check out Amir Tsarfati’s Behold Israel on you tube.
Revelation, but don’t be a jerk about it.
I heard he’s traveling tonight on a plane.
How many are pre or post tribulation raputurists?
Do you believe in a pre trib rapture?
Or a post trib rapture?
Is there scripture supporting one or he other or both?
What did the son of God (Jesus, Yahshua, the Messiah) actually say?
If there is no rapture at all, is the Christian believer supposed to be covered by the Blood of the Lamb? That is to say, if the Christian believer has not been fooled by false doctrine and corrupted dogma.
Perhaps Daniel’s prophecies have already happened.
Daniel’s 70 weeks ended during the time of Jesus, culminating in the destruction of non-believing Jews in 70 AD - exactly as predicted. The Bible is very consistent on this.
The Anti-Christ is clearly Gorbachev with the Mark of the Beast sitting plainly on his forehead.
I'm a pan-tribulationist. It'll all pan out in the end.
70AD was part of it when Jerusalem was surrounded by armies and first destroyed. Titus was the leader of the battle but he was not the emperor yet, so he would not set himself up in the temple and “proclaim himself to be God” as 2nd Thessalonians says. 135AD was the second part when the actual abomination of desolation was set up, Hadrian’s statue in the holy place where the temple once stood.
Jesus said the tribulation would begin when the abomination would be set up and end with his coming. So I don’t see the tribulation as 7 years, I see the covenant as 7 years. I don’t see any verses that say the tribulation would be 7 years.
Counter - point - I guess some folks will claim 2nd Thessalonian’s description of the man of lawlessness has to point to another, future occurrence/fulfillment of this abomination of desolation, and that could be. It could unfold like that for sure, but it could also be in the past.
Ezekiel 37 says the temple will be in Jerusalem for all time, so another temple will exist, but Zechariah 6 seems so say the Messiah will build the temple himself.
Thoughts?
Sorry it took so long to respond.
First of all, I am not a “theologian”, but have been in several Bible studies of the books of Daniel and Revelation.
1) “Seventy weeks of years are decreed concerning your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity,to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place. (Dan 9: 24)
2) The religious leaders of Jesus’ day knew that they were fast approaching the 70th week of the prophecy.
3) The destruction lasted 3 1/2 years (in fact and in the prophecy of Daniel): “The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven; and I heard him swear by him who lives for ever that it would be for a time, two times, and half a time; and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end all these things would be accomplished.” (Dan 12: 7)
4) In Jesus, death was destroyed and everlasting righteousness was brought about (we have been fully restored to the spiritual position created for man, but lost by Adam).
5) I believe you are correct: Messiah will build (has built) the temple himself. He is the Temple of the New Covenant. All is fulfilled in Him. Hallelujah!!
