This is the verse that initially specifies the final 7 year period:

DAN9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

This is the period Jesus refers to in the Olivet Discourse :

MAT24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. MAT24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)  MAT24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:  MAT24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:  MAT24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

God. KING JAMES BIBLE TOUCH - KJV (Kindle Locations 38529-38534). Kindle Edition.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for responding. From my reading, the covenant, or agreement is 7 years, not the tribulation. The tribulation begins in the middle of the 7 year covenant according to these verses and Matthew 24:29-30 says it ends when Jesus arrives.

As Dan 9:27 says, the tribulation starts when the sacrifices are ended. This happened in 135AD. What am I missing? Again, thanks for responding.
