I’m no fan of Osteen, but this whole story is ridiculous, like fake news.
His church was flooded, and pretty much unusable as a ‘shelter’ — there were thousands of really nice houses around which would have made much better shelters than some mega-church where half the bathrooms were under water and they had no sleeping facilities.
So they were storing stuff for supplies, offering help, and telling people how to find help, and offered the facility as damaged as it was to the emergency ops if they wanted to use it.
So, ask yourself, of all the churches, civic buildings, schools, lecture halls, and other facilities, why is this ONE facility hte one that is all over facebook being attacked for not being a shelter?
Clearly, it’s a combination of those who don’t like Osteen, and those who don’t like religion at all.
Meanwhile, the Houston Methodist Training Center wasn’t opened as a shelter. In fact, the list of shelters is pretty small. And doesn’t include the Mayor’s house.
“So, ask yourself, of all the churches, civic buildings, schools, lecture halls, and other facilities, why is this ONE facility hte one that is all over facebook being attacked for not being a shelter?”
Not an Osteen follower either. But you nailed it. That’s exactly the question.
Clearly, its a combination of those who dont like Osteen, and those who dont like religion at all.
Amen........As a side note, he was interviewed today on Fox and explained exactly what the fake controversy was all about.........
