This isn’t “just” jus soli, it’s a whole full fledged socialist worldview.

Yeah, I am a crazy evangelical. But if Jesus wanted any part of the church to try to do this, I sure missed it in the bible. Directions for how the community of believers ought to act, are NOT directions for how they should lean on secular countries to act!

You don’t sound crazy to me. I’m Catholic, and I assure you what this Pope is talking about is NOT Catholicism or biblical Christianity (as you know). Pope Francis is crazy or evil or both.

I had to look up "Jus soli" and found out it means, basically, birthright citizenship: if you're born in a country, no matter your parentage or the legality or whatever the circumstances, you're a citizen of that country. According to Wikipedia it is very much a minority stand among the nations of the world:

Jus soli... As an unconditional basis for citizenship, it is the predominant rule in the Americas, but is rare elsewhere. [No European country practices Jus Soli, and...] only 30 of the world's 194 countries grant citizenship at birth to the children of undocumented foreign residents...

Almost all states in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania grant citizenship at birth based upon the principle of jus sanguinis (right of blood), in which citizenship is inherited through parents not by birthplace, or a restricted version of jus soli in which citizenship by birthplace is automatic only for the children of certain immigrants.

Of course, the State of Vatican City does not practice Jus Soli! It's one of the most restrictive countries in the world in terms of legal citizenship..
