Funny how it’s never been a problem for almost 2000 years.

The FACTS are that those who live in sin cannot partake of communion as that is a blemish to God. You can confess and repent of your sins but divorcees and homosexuals LIVE in their sin.

“But this keeps them from God!”

Yeah numbnuts- that’s what SIN is.

I’m not even Catholic and I have to explain basic theology to a f-ing bishop!

Bishop Grech also wrote about naysayers’ “religious zeal” in his letter and said such forecasters of doom were more concerned in defending the letter of the law than the people who are trying to rise up from their mistakes.

The way that those committing adultery "rise up from their mistakes" is to stop committing adultery.

The bishops also say it might be “humanly impossible” to adhere to Church teaching and live chastely while civilly remarried, a prerequisite for receiving the Eucharist in this scenario.

CANON XVIII.-If any one saith, that the commandments of God are, even for one that is justified and constituted in grace, impossible to keep; let him be anathema. (Council of Trent, Session VI)
