She got married at someone's estate in an "interfaith" ( whatever that is ) ceremony.

Sorry, I took some liberty with the author's words when I condensed it. The author wrote: "...although daughter Chelsea was married by a Methodist clergy in New York, whose congregation may be a sort of home church for the Clintons,"

So, the author is only implying she was married in a church by using some very clever phrasing. Have to laugh at "...whose congregation may be sort of home church for the Clintons,"

"may be sort of"

LOLOL. Author had to really squirm and twist to write that!
