This is unusual, to experience a 180-degree worldwide flip in one's lifetime.

But:

• We have gone from America being the bastion of freedom, to a Globalist-controlled universal surveillence state, with even the mildest agencies having military-grade gear to enforce their arbitrary edicts.
• We have gone from America being the home to free-market capitalism, to a neo-fascist state in which you are ordered to buy one service (health insurance), and likely, soon, ordered to buy much more; and in which nearly half of the population is given money confiscated from the other half.... which is as close to Communism as you can get without full state seizure of all property and businesses.
• We have gone from the Soviet Union being an enemy of religion in general (and Christianity in particular), to Russia becoming it's most stalwart defender.
• We have gone from having China and the USSR being advocates of Communism, to them embracing free-market capitalism.

I hate living in 'interesting times'.
