Do you kneel before a picture of your mom or grandparents and light a candle while praying to them?

Pictures of my late father Edward, my late mother Wynne, and my Great-Aunt Clara (who raised my Mother) as well as my friends Nita and Billy and their daughter Mary Katherine and our way-back pro-life Presbyterian pastor friend Joe Foreman, still living on this earth, are in our Prayer Corner along with icons of angels and saints and Our Lord Jesus Christ, Our God and Savior of all.

And we do have candles. And upon occasion, incense!

So, yeah.

Like I said, the whole ensemble of loving people praying for each other is called the “Communion of Saints “.

Except, in the Orthodox or Byzantine style, we usually stand and bow (instead of kneel.)

No orthodox Catholics pray to deceased relatives. They pray to God to lessen their their deceased loved ones time in Purgatory.

Your deliberate mistatements about true Catholic teaching are disengious. Not unexpected, however.
