As a recovering alcoholic I didn't need societies condemnation as being a ‘’sinner’’. That kept me out there and it keeps others from coming into the ‘’rooms’’ for help. I didn't need societies condemnation, I had enough of it for my myself. No one says “I want to grow up and become addicted to something’’. And addiction is never an excuse for committing a crime of any sort, ever. If you commit a crime of a serious nature or of any kind then an addiction is not an excuse or a reason to cop a plea. There's AA in jail.

I have been addicted a few times. Each time I overcame addiction it was by God’s grace. My will was never able to overcome.
