The Pope is not necessarily a "senior Cardinal" or a Cardinal at all. He is accurately described as the "Bishop of Rome". As to the rest of your piece, I was addressing those who are Roman Catholic and accept the Catholic definition of things. Catholics do not accept there being more than one Vicar of Christ at a time.
