While we love the people, we cannot condone sin and at some point that means taking a stand.
There are plenty of other opportunities to show the love of Christ to those in any sinful lifestyle without participating in a way that indicates you are condoning it.
Our first priority is NOT to not offend someone. Standing for the truth sometimes will. But the offense taken is not because the Christian’s behavior is offensive, but rather because the person chose to be offended cause you didn’t agree with them.,
I will not be manipulated by accusations of not being Christian or not showing love. That is just a tactic others use to try to force behavior out of Christians that they want, thinking that Christians are going to think. *Oh no. They think I’m not loving. They think I’m not a good Christian* and getting them to compromise their values.
I will not be manipulated with liberal scare tactics and false guilt trips.
I will treat them with the same courtesy and same respect as I treat other people but will not feel obligated to participate in their sham.
Besides, since when is anyone ever obligated to go to a wedding just because they got an invitation?
I mostly agree with you. Just not 100% in all cases. Exceptions seem to be one of God’s hobbies.
