Very sad situation, and no, we do not plan on attending any gay marriages in our future (or any heterosexual marriages either in churches that approve of SS marriage and/or abortion). There are so many heartbreaking situations going on in America today, and the devil is behind all of them.

To hell with him; to hell with him quickly.

NO you shouldn't attend!

Don't be mean or cruel, but you're responsible for you. You have to draw the line.

I had a family member that was confused a couple years ago and thought she was a lesbian. I set down some rules for my home. I wasn't self righteous or mean about it; just here's the rules. And they were non-negotiable.

1. Your "partner" may never enter my home. I had young children. I didn't want them thinking that any part of that sexual sin was acceptable and was absolutely not welcome in our home. Plus, I just knew there would be some show of "affection", which would cause a scene. So I decided to nip that in the bud.
2. This family member was not allowed to be alone with our children.
3. This family member was not allowed to talk about their "relationship" in our home.

Active homosexual behavior is seriously deviant and no part of it is welcome in my home. However, we never gave up on this person. After a couple years, she turned herself around, met a nice man, and has been married to him for 10yrs now.

You should not support homosexual behavior in any form. It's an abomination to God. Why would anyone support a loved ones actions that will get them cast out at the last day???

Matt 10
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

All followers of Jesus Christ are commanded to take a stand against such things.

It would be hateful for a Christian to attend a gay wedding. It would be hateful for a Christian to fail to give testimony to what the Lord thinks of such an abomination.

One can call themselves a supporter of same-sex “marriage. And one can call themselves a Christian. But one cannot honestly call themselves both. This issue has caused, and will continue to cause, much conflict and consternation in our society. This is exactly what our Lord was talking about when He said that He came to bring not peace but division (Luke 12:51). The lines have never been more clearly drawn. There is no middle ground. The only question for anyone who calls themselves a “Christian” is on which side of the divide they will rise or fall.

Exactly.

>>all authentic Christians are called to stand up for the Truth of marriage. In doing so, they will be standing up for our Lord

How could any Christian attend a same sex “wedding”? I don’t know. There is a part in the ceremony that calls asks “if there be anyone who knows why these two should not come together, let him speak now or forever hold his peace.”

What Christian could remain silent, when asked this question?
