Actually what the Bible made clear is that marriage is a sacred, lifetime union between one man and one woman: "But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." - Mark 10:6-9.
A true Christian should no more consider the marriage between a man and a woman, one or both of whom had been divorced, as a true Biblical marriage any more than a same sex marriage would be.
Polygamy is (usually) taking multiple wives, not “marrying” children.
It is not worse than homosexuality. Homosexuality is right down there with beastiality and pedophilia.
As simple as Christianity is, a lot of folks don’t understand it. A lot of folks don’t read their Bible often either.
I myself wouldn’t attend. As another poster said, I wouldn’t drive someone to an abortion either. Sin is sin. There is no worse or better, it’s just sin.
You can still love people while being against what they stand for.
I will judge, I will judge based on God’s word. His word is clear.
Question: If asked to read Scripture at a same-sex wedding, would you do it?
Weigh same-sex wedding vs chance to share Scripture
No such thing as a gay wedding. Weddings can’t be gay.
There's nothing HOLY about two faggots sucking face ... or other parts ... or committing buggery on each other. Don't even TRY to pretend otherwise.
All this gay non-sense is just that. There is a big difference between tolerating someone’s lifestyle and embracing it as if it were no different than a man/women/procreation NATURAL relationship.
Going to a “gay [wedding] is embracing a lifestyle that is a mockery of creation...including motherhood.
All of us “judge”.
Normal Godly people reject evil....and that’s judging.
Beck is about as conservative as Nancy Pelosi. Listening to his radio program you might as well be listening to Morrning Joe. It’s 24/7 Trump bashing. Today there is no doubt he’ll be blabbing away about “Trump dictating the statement of Don Jr.” Never forget that Beck said Hillary Clinton was the “moral choice” for president. In otherwords he voted for her.
You nailed it!!!
bump for later
Each sin I commit, hurts my body, soul and spirit. I do feel them when I am wrong since I ask Jesus to guide my every move. I am thankful he allowed me to live this long to know Him better each day. Humans are petty when compared to God.
Should anyone I love have a gay wedding to attend I would RSVP that I am not able to attend, period.
For those that think the church is full of hypocrites, yes, it is so true. I hope you come join us to show us how to be perfect. Sadly, sometimes Satan attacks my mind minutes after laying the last sins at the foot of the cross after Holy Communion. I have to keep going to The Lord's Table Sunday after Sunday!
“Greet one another with a HOLY kiss was torn out of your Bible?”
Translations aside, it didn’t mean two faggots sucking face.
Any man trying to “holy kiss” me is going to get holy punched in the face.
Is going to a hetero marriage with the divorcee wearing white proclaiming purity as the driven snow, endorsing that lie?
I think this falls into the "get the log out of your own eye before worrying about the splinter in your neighbors eye" category. Really, life is tough on some people. I don't think most wanted divorce. This is one I would rather just wish them well instead of trying to judge.
That was NOT my point, at all. Did NOT mean that, at all. My point was that in our era, millions of Christian men violate that New Testament Christian order routinely and smugly. We seem to declare that our cultural norms are standards and mandates of Biblical righteousness. They aren’t. Logically, in Scripture, God exhorted a HOLY kiss because, obviously, there were the unholy sort to be avoided.
Exactly.
Gays know my stance on Biblical behaviors and choices. Most of them are likely slated for hell. I don’t mind being kind and compassionate to them in this life. There won’t be any compassion or kindness in hell.
God declares that all Love comes from God. Beth Moore declares that there cannot possibly be any true Love between gays. I think in all but maybe less than 1% of the cases, she’s probably right. Instead, it’s more likely co-dependency, mutual lust/back-scratching dyads etc.
God declares that love covers a multitude of sins. I’m not about to tell God that He can NOT apply that to a given gay relationship. And I’ll likely be prompt to let most gays I’m in dialogue with who have the slightest inclination to listen to me, to know that counting on love covering their sins is an extremely eternally risky thing.
I just won’t be all that surprised to see some gays in heaven ... along with a great many prostitutes et al.
Right. Including the sort of unholy kiss exemplified by a "gay" "wedding" ... an event which is inherently disordered and utterly evil.
