Salvation by faith is indeed in Scripture. This is not in dispute. What is not in Scripture is salvation by faith alone. This is an invention of Martin Luther.
If you don’t have faith in Christ...what else would save you?
You state.....”What is not in Scripture is salvation by faith alone.”....
...I will show you my faith by my works, which means I have faith BEFORE I do any works....... Our faith is invisible and can only be expressed outwardly to man by our works. ....This is the point that James emphasized.... we show our faith by our deeds to our fellow man - ‘Not for our salvation’...
Works and deeds..’accompany’ Salvation.....James is ‘not’ explaining how to be saved but is telling them if they are saved they should show it by their works,... understand the difference... good works comes from being ‘in Christ’.... Good works do Not put us in Christ.
Sure it is. I provided the proof texts.
