Pastor JD’s Middle East Prophesy Update
Thank you again for your posts.

I think we should make a finer distinction than Pastor JD is making when he decries the lack of intent to assimilate. There is no reason legally why people should have to assimilate. Yes, we would probably like it better, but they are not breaking the law, usually, by adhering to their own customs.
We should insist on our laws being obeyed, however. It is against our laws to honor-kill or mutilate women. It is also against our laws to treat women as second-class citizens in any way. And no, you may not cover your face for your driver’s registration picture or any other purpose your state or locality forbids you to cover it for, for security and law-enforcement reasons. It is not permissible to teach religion in tax-supported schools.
In order to keep that idea foremost and strong, we should not confuse it with lack of assimilation.
I expect to get some flak for this post, but I really think it’s important to enforce the important things and not overgeneralize or become confused.

Back on the night of 09/11/2001 GWB gave a speech to America and he quoted a verse from Tehillim
Clip:
Tonight I ask for your prayers for all those who grieve, for the children whose worlds have been shattered, for all whose sense of safety and security has been threatened. And I pray they will be comforted by a power greater than any of us, spoken through the ages in Psalm 23: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me."

RE: Falling away
2 Thessalonians 2:3 let no man beguile you in any wise: for it will not be, except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,
The Hebrew is very enlightening, instead of 'falling away' it says...

Simon bar Kokhba
From Wikipedia
Simon bar Kokhba (Hebrew: שמעון בר כוכבא; died 135 CE) was the Jewish leader of what is known as the Bar Kokhba revolt against the Roman Empire in 132 CE, establishing an independent Jewish state which he ruled for three years as Nasi ("Prince"). His state was conquered by the Romans in 135 following a two and half-year war.[a]
The Jewish sage Rabbi Akiva indulged the possibility that Simon could be the Jewish messiah, and gave him the surname "Bar Kokhba" meaning "Son of the Star" in Aramaic, from the Star Prophecy verse from Numbers 24:17: "There shall come a star out of Jacob".[5] The name Bar Kokhba does not appear in the Talmud but in ecclesiastical sources.[6] Rabbinical writers subsequent to Rabbi Akiva did not share Rabbi Akiva's estimation of ben Kosiva. Akiva's disciple, Yose ben Halaphta, in the Seder 'Olam (chapter 30) called him "bar Koziba" (Hebrew: בר כוזיבא), meaning, "son of the lie".[7] The judgment of Bar Koseba that is implied by this change of name was carried on by later rabbinic scholarship at least to the time of the codification of the Talmudim, where the name is always rendered "Simon bar Koziba" (בר כוזיבא) or Bar Kozevah (בר כוזבה).
Despite the devastation wrought by the Romans during the First JewishRoman War (6673 CE), which left the population and countryside in ruins, a series of laws passed by Roman Emperors provided the incentive for the second rebellion.[8] Based on the delineation of years in Eusebius' Chronicon (now Chronicle of Jerome), it was only in the 16th year of Hadrian's reign, or what was equivalent to the 4th year of the 227th Olympiad, that the Jewish revolt began, under the Roman governor Tineius (Tynius) Rufus, whereas Hadrian sent an army to crush the resistance. Bar Kokhba, the leader of this resistance at the time, punished any Jew who refused to join his ranks.[9] Two and a half years later, the war had ended. The Roman Emperor Hadrian at this time barred Jews from entering Jerusalem; a new Roman city, Aelia Capitolina, was to be built in its place.
The second Jewish rebellion took place 60 years after the first and established an independent state lasting three years. For many Jews of the time, this turn of events was heralded as the long hoped for Messianic Age. The excitement was short-lived, however, and after a brief span of glory, the revolt was crushed by the Roman legions.
