Muller has been a non-player in the Amoris laetitia furore and has done little of what a prefect of the CDF should have done. He's on record as saying that AL is in perfect conformity with the writings of previous popes and that there's nothing to see here, folks. He should have been the author of the dubia and he should have been at the forefront of this fight.

I hope he's learned that if one is going to get shafted, one might as well get it for doing one's job and doing the right thing, rather than fence-sitting and prevaricating.

Thanks for this post. My initial reaction was that he was anti-AL (probably because it would make sense why Francis fired him), but now I recall that he wasn’t pro-AL or anti-AL. A real lukewarm.
