The Church should not defend Islam “at all costs” and seek to “exonerate it from the horrors committed every day in its name” or else “one ends up betraying the truth,” a leading Jesuit scholar of Islam has asserted.

Greek Melkite Jesuit Father Henri Boulad believes that when it comes to dealing with Islam, the Catholic Church has succumbed to a “liberal left ideology which is destroying the West” based on the pretext of “openness, tolerance and Christian charity.”

Defending Islam at all, any part or iteration of it, is abandoning the truth.

It it explicitly of the spirit of antichrist, framed and fashioned not merely as a rejection of Christ and the Gospel but to supplant same. It is inherently Satanic: no ifs, ands or buts.

In this — being designed to supplant Christ and the Gpspel — it is distinct from religions that are merely false, like Hinduism or Buddism, which were concocted with no reference to Christ or maybe even the Law and which are “merely” eternally unprofitable.

Islam is not the only religion that supplants Christ, even redefining him, and there are other religions that are of the spirit of antichrist, but Islam is the largest demographic group that does so.

More specifically, I think it entirely reasonable that Islam is not just that but is indeed the very religious environment from which the actual Antichrist will emerge to be joined by a false prophet who will either claim to be ethnically Jewish or a Christian, perchance both.

It is no surprise to me that one of the Muslim end times prophesies basically took Revelation and swapped personages, making the Antichrist out to be the promised Muslim prince and his ally the returned Jesus (this probably indicates what the false prophet will claim about himself, saying that he is not just a Jew or a Christian but actually Jesus ... yet we know Christ, when he returns, it will be in glory from on high and not just as some guy with a modern history working magic and laying it on thick ... so don’t be fooled, people).
