Matthew 6:19
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Every material thing on this planet will waste away, eventually consumed by its own impermanence. If we as Christians attach our self-worth to temporary possessions, we'll attract demonic thieves who want to rob us of God's wonderful blessings. The thief is always on the lookout for simple targets and if we let our spiritual guard down we're an easy mark. "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also," it doesn't get any more clear than that! What is your primary quest, right now? Is it to seek more material goods to fill barns? Is it to experience new and exciting escapism opportunities? Or can you be satisfied with simply drinking from the wells of salvation?
Isaiah 12:3
Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
John 4:14
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
There are sixty-six wells to drink from in God's preserved Word, drink it up and your spiritual guard will never be let down. And compared to what Christ has to offer us, the materialism and the philosophies of this world fall ever short. Therefore, walk in the Gospel of mercy and the comforting Spirit of His grace, because that alone can impart satisfaction to even the most anguished of souls. If we live according to His preserved Word, God promises to provide precious springs of living water that will continue to overflow until the day when every Christian is crowned with life eternal.
//Where we don’t change God’s Word,//
You are aware of KJV translation errors, right? Or do you read the Bible in the Greek and Hebrew?
OK, which Greek are you using, the one compiled by Desiderus Erasmus and published by Stephanus, the one used for the New Testament of the King James? Or are you using the Greek text synthesized from basically three corrupted texts, the Universalist-friendly one never seen by the human eye until 1881, from which nearly all the modern versions are translated?
If you think you've found translational errors in the KJB, trot them out, and we'll see what you've got. People have tried this angle before to demean the Old Sword, and gotten nicked in the process.
>>>Most people these days, don’t think life is really worth living unless they’re acquiring more stuff.<<<
That is pretty much the result when people would prefer churches where they can feel ‘confortable’ instead of ‘convicted.’ These ‘feel good’ churches are more interested in entertaining the multitudes instead of preaching the Word to the end of showing sinners their need of a Saviour.
Joel Osteen is the current false prophet telling people that “You are loved!” but not, “You are lost and need the Blood of Christ!”
These will be among those that hear, “Depart from me . . . I never knew ye.”
Sadly it appears that some only visit your threads to argue for Satan . . . “Yea, hath God said?”
Amen and amen.
They looked God Almighty right in the face and yelled, CRUCIFY HIM! CRUCIFY HIM!
