P.S. Nobody tell Donald. He'll be tweeting about it 24/7, and the usual suspects here will anathematize anyone who fails to believe.
I stopped reading right there. I don’t have time for idiocy.
Ok, that one cracked me up. When I posted, I consciously thought, “will I get an ‘I stopped reading right there’ post because of that line.”
Sure enough. :)
I didn’t change it because I didn’t want to change any of his words. Just think of it as his “Murphy Brown” moment. :-)
i.e. nobody’s perfect.
And now that youve got such ponderous proof, what will you do with what youve found?
God’s timeline really is super fascinating. One thing I like to think about is how God enacts justice for the innocent, from the beginning up to the day of the coming of Messhiah (to rule). He will know exactly the right moment to give the order to avenge them all.
It’s kind of like reading the stuff Nash highlighted and circled in the movie “A Beautiful Mind” and while I love Bible studies, having done a couple of my own that took months, I rarely pinpoint a phrase or singular action because taking anything out of context drives me insane.
I’ll go back over each Biblical reference though, since that is what all should be founded upon.
If he seriously thinks Jesus is coming soon, he has not read 2 Thess. and I pray for a worldwide revival before God releases His wrath through His Son. I’m a post-tribulationist.
The trick for The Rapture is Scripture says we are to be "watching". If we have an "I don't care" attitude that He will call me when He calls, could He not leave you behind to face the Beast? There are so many Parables and Scriptures for looking out for the "Thief" or foolish virgins, I can't teach Sunday school right here, but trust me, we are supposed to be looking for His return. Even Revelations tells us to pray, "Come Quickly".
1Thes 5:1-2 Tells Jews they should know the times and seasons for the Rapture just written about in Chpt 4. Vs. 3 tells us of labor pains from a pregnant woman. Now read vs 4-9. He is telling us that we can know and should be looking for it. The "Thief" spoken of here is the High priest checking the guards to see if they are asleep guarding the Temple. If they are found asleep, they are stripped of their garments and sent running through the streets in shame. Who is our High Priest? Will He catch you asleep? Without the garment He issued to you, will you be clothed in your own self righteousness?
We cannot afford to take a chance by just assuming every day will be like the last. Parables with virgins refer to the church, but we find out there are foolish ones. Servants are church members, but we find some that bury their master's investment in them. We find more that get drunk and beat the other servants. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Will Jesus come after a Bride that just knows about Him, or will He come to fetch His lover that longs for His return and gets excited just thinking of the day of His embrace?
I've just begun to study Song of Songs and verse 1:2 says " Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth-. His kisses are the Word of God. Does the Scriptures excite you that much? Maybe we need to re evaluate our relationship with our Fiancee.
Chpt 2:8-14 speaks of the Rapture of the church, His Bride for the wedding. Chpt 3:1-11 speaks of women that were left behind and they couldn't find Him. They went about the city in the "broad" way". What does Scripture say about the Broad way? These Christians can still be with Jesus, but they will have to suffer beheading by the Beast.
I want to GO! I want to be with HIM! If we know the season is here and the time is near, why would you not anticipate the return of the one that loved you enough to die for you? Take your eyes off the world and look towards Him! Anything put before God is an Idol and idols are not welcomed by God.
If He doesn't come for me this Feast of Trumpets, He will come on some Feast of Trumpets, and I will be looking for His coming.
Jesus told us to stay awake. Jesus told us to watch. Jesus never told us to piece together all the proophecies in advance of their fulfillment.
I'm just enjoying the mysteries, man.
With some of you guys on these threads, it's like what Rocket Racoon said:
"You just want to suck the joy out of everything."
Cheers
More importantly, is that the past provides a sure sign, as it has already happened. Apollo 11. There's your sign.
"One small step for man. One giant leap for mankind."
500 mil + people witnessed that, fake moon-landing conspiracies notwithstanding. It really outdid Sinai on the scale of momentous events witnessed. Talk about a message.
And the re-entry, when the dove (Columbia) hovered over the waters and splashed down? July 24, 1969: Tisha B'Av.
"and the spirit of God was hovering: The Throne of Glory was suspended in the air and hovered over the face of the water with the breath of the mouth of the Holy One, blessed be He and with His word, like a dove, which hovers over the nest, acoveter in Old French, to cover, hover over.
"Although Mashiach1 could come in any moment, the Talmud declares that Tisha bAv is the day most suited to his birth.2"
2. "And the spirit of G‑d hovered upon the waters." (Gen. 1:2) Midrash Rabba explains that this "spirit of G‑d" hovering upon the waters is actually the "soul of Mashiach," a term that refers to the highest possible G‑d awareness/truth awareness that human beings are capable of. The whole point of our six thousand year labor of teshuva and tikun, of trying to grow and evolve, is to stretch and refine our personal and collective vessels, so that this "spirit of G‑d" "this soul of Mashiach" can finally fit inside, embodied as the messianic golden age. Now, it "hovers upon the waters" i.e., the shifting sands of our physical world, waiting for our vessels to evolve and expand enough to finally let it come in. Now, our vessels are too narrow and constricted. Theres no space for its more expansive vision to fit inside. At some point well accumulate a critical mass of tikun where the joint system becomes rectified enough that the designated persons vessel can stretch the minimum amount necessary for the toe of the hovering messianic soul to actually, finally, squeeze in. At that point the potential Mashiach becomes the actual Mashiach, and that is what it means that Mashiach is born.
Birth (impending conception) announcement, as with Sarah:
Genesis 18:14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
"One small step for man. One giant leap for mankind."
Who was wisest?
Well, since it was Chicago...
Moody Bible Institute among other things.
Great Find!
