U.S. diocese: Pope Francis ‘guided our work’ to allow Trans, LGBTQ students into schools

JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri, May 26, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – A U.S. Catholic diocese has drafted a new policy to allow students who identify as “transgender,” “LGBTQ,” and those who come from a “same sex couple – Catholic” to attend its schools. The Diocese of Jefferson City, led by Bishop John Gaydos, has cited Pope Francis’ controversial document Amoris Laetitia as guidance for the process.

A draft version of the policy states that administrators in the diocese are “looking carefully and deeply at the question of human sexuality and the development of the human person in the light of students who identify as LGBTQ, students being raised by same-sex parents and those in non-traditional marriage.”

“Wherever possible, enrollment is the goal,” the 17-page document dated May 9, 2017, states.

The policy, titled “A Pastoral Process of Accompaniment and Dialogue,” states that a “quote from Amoris Laetitia by Pope Francis guided our work.”

The policy then quotes from the Pope’s Exhortation where he writes about those in “‘irregular’ situations” who need “integration” in the Church as “living members, able to live and grow in the Church and experience her as a mother who welcomes them always.”

The diocese convened a committee last fall to draft the policy.

According to information from a blog compiled by diocesan families who believe the Process is not consistent with Catholic teaching and must be rescinded, no actual pastors from parish schools were consulted in the policy’s crafting.

“Bishop John R. Gaydos and the Jefferson City Missouri Diocese have clandestinely instituted a policy allowing pastors to admit transgendered students to Catholic Schools,” states the blog 30 Pieces of Silver.

LifeSiteNews did not hear back by press time on an inquiry to the diocese about various specifics on the drafting and implementation of the diocesan policy.

[[“Wherever possible, enrollment is the goal,”]]

Yep because nothing says inclusivity like allowing the enemies of God to infiltrate your schools and churches and get to the point where they sue you into compliance and total acceptance of the abomination

“...what they really mean is they want more students and more parishioners to collect from...”

No way is that the motive. That, while being done in an immoral way, would at least be motivated by wanting to help the Church. This has NOTHING to do with wanting to make the Catholic Church or Catholic schools grow or thrive. First of all, the actual population of LBGQT whatever you call them is tiny — the just make a lot of noise. This is all about undermining Catholic teaching and driving out real Catholics.

This would be fine if you were bringing them in for the right reasons. Leading them into the light. But if you are bringing them in and accepting their sin them you are condemning them.
