Ava is a little girl at my parish, Holy Cross Batavia IL. All medical options have been exhausted and now Ava's condition is solely in the hands of our Lord.

My heart goes out to the child and family suffering from this deadly condition. We know the wage of sin is death, and accept that death is a passage into new life. Still we mourn the idea of losing one so young, one who has yet to enjoy so many of the thrills of Your creation. And we mourn for the parents to whom You have entrusted the care of this young life, as the idea of losing this dear child strips of them earthly happiness. Father I ask in Your Son's name that it be Your will see Your precious child's health fully restored. Thy will be done.
