2 Thessalonians 3:16
Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Daniel had some simple advice for Nebuchadnezzar, "break off thy sins by righteousness," he was telling him if you repent and break off your sin and start living for the Lord it could be that God would spare you from a whole lot of trouble.
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Proverbs 16:3
Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
How important it is to serve the Lord and to put God first in all that we do. How important it is to live our life in such a way that everything we do, we do unto the Lord. Even Christians can go through unwanted circumstances in life because they don't first pray and consult the Lord and wait upon Him for His plan. Nebuchadnezzar did not heed Daniels warning to break off his sins and he was driven from his kingdom until seven times had passed over and he realized that God was God. The question we need to ask ourselves is, "Do I realize that God is God and He alone is worthy for me to break off all my sin?"
Revelation 5:12
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
Revelation 4:11
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
6Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Is “Desert Cart” a double entendre?
A Desert cart is where you get dessert if you fail to recognize the authority of The Lord...
I’ve eaten from the desert cart. Not fun or productive way to spend my walk with Christ.
Concur.
What do you get if you spell STRESSED Backwards?
DESSERT!
Yessir, proof positive.....
If you are having to walk through a desert, a cart might be welcome indeed!
If the Israelites had a bunch of these (or their cousins shown below) in the desert, their wanderings might have lasted quite a bit less than 40 years...unless they didn't have GPS, and just kept rolling around in circles...
