No it is not common. Usually the church will split up and half stay where they are and the rest go build a new church next door. It is the southern Baptist way. That’s why we have churches everywhere, but no substance.
It’s happened here too. Looks like this church is going to split over this if they that upset and can’t even calm down enough to vote
