Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
I had been in Jerusalem for a week under bright blue skies, and thought it never rained there. Well, ALMOST Never. But then it rained, and it POURED, vast puddles forming in the streets and gushing off the rooftops. Suddenly, spontaneously, the various citizens of the city joined hands and began DANCING in the rain, splashing through the puddles, kicking up waves of water from the street, and singing a popular Israeli song "Ushavtim mayim". I knew the song, so I joined in. (I can't say much for my dancing though. God has blessed me in OTHER ways!)
Years later, I found out that the song was based upon this short, sweet, wonderful chapter of Isaiah.
Although this is a tiny sliver of the book of Isaiah, it is very important and necessary. Tomorrow, we will start hearing the dire predictions Isaiah has for the Gentile Nations that have opposed Israel.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
God Bless America!
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
This Symbol Represents Christians in The Middle East, who desperately need our Prayers.
Hallelujah and Amen

Cool scripture graphics. Captivating story. I remember hearing & singing this song on the tour bus, but I didn’t know the association with rain and the Israelis.
Adding my prayers.
