Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Dear Heavenly Father,
How Precious,
How Wonderful,
How Lovely To Be in Your Presence!
Your Name is So Hallowed, So Holy and Pure,
And Your Lovingkindness is From Everlasting to Everlasting!
Why Do You Love Us So,
When We Persist in Turning Away From You?
Your Love is Unsearchable,
Your Mercy Unexplainable,
Your Peace Passes Understanding!

1. LORD, my heart is not haughty,
Nor my eyes lofty.
Neither do I concern myself with great matters,
Nor with things too profound for me.

I Accept Your Word By Faith, Oh LORD.
You Say It Is So,
And It Is So.
Is That such a hard thing?
But many times it seems like a battle.
My stubborn human nature struggles with it daily,
And yet, when I accept Your Will,
I have Peace Within My Heart.

2. Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
Like a weaned child with his mother;
Like a weaned child is my soul within me.

Day By Day,
Line Upon Line,
Precept Upon Precept,
Give Us Each Day, Father,
Our Daily Bread,
Your Holy Word.
Teach us to rest in Your Word,
And to center our lives in Your Will.

3. O Israel, hope in the LORD
From this time forth and forever.

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will,
Your Word,
and Your Promise.
We Pray For Our Own Nation,
That You Will Protect and Inspire Our Leaders,
And Restore Honor, Dignity, and Freedom to the People.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

This is a poem I learned in Elementary School:

When I Heard the Learn’d Astronomer

By Walt Whitman

When I heard the learn’d astronomer,
When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me,
When I was shown the charts and diagrams, to add, divide, and measure them,
When I sitting heard the astronomer where he lectured with much applause in the lecture-room,
How soon unaccountable I became tired and sick,
Till rising and gliding out I wander’d off by myself,
In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time,
Look’d up in perfect silence at the stars.

Today's Psalm is short and tender, and has a sense of wonder and awe. The Psalmist, like the Poet, knows that there are some things we can not dissect or fully understand, yet we can appreciate their beauty. When I look at the photos from the Hubble Space Telescope, I am struck by the Wonder of God's Creation. As Don Henley sings in his song "Heart of the Matter", The More I Know, The Less I Understand."

It is interesting how the Psalmist, the 19th Century Poet, and The Rock Star all come to the same conclusion.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

God Bless America!

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

This Symbol Represents Christians in The Middle East, who desperately need our Prayers.

Hallelujah and Amen

Father G-d, remove the veil You have sovereignly placed over the eyes of Israel, that they would recognize Jesus as their Messiah 2 Cor. 3:14

We pray for the current leaders in Israel, including the Prime Minister, the mayor of Jerusalem, and all those in the military service. Raise up government leaders in Israel (and world-wide) who will not seek to 'divide the land' and who would recognize the unique significance of Jerusalem in G-d's end-time purposes.

The L-rd will not forsake His people for His great Name's sake, because it has pleased the L-rd to make Israel His people (1 Samuel 12:22). Use us L-rd to help others understand Your plan for Israel and Your love for the Jewish People.

Raise up intercessors for Israel. Put more watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem, who will give You no peace day or night until You establish Jerusalem and make her the praise of the earth (Isaiah 62:6-7).

We pray for people to understand and value the Jewish people the way God does (Romans 9:4-5)

We also pray The LORD will be a refuge for the Jewish people, that He will keep them from harm, and execute righteousness and judgment on their behalf (Psalm 9:9; Psalm 103:6) Amen! <3
