Pope has urged having fewer children if you cannot bring them up properly, claims Vatican academy member
He needs to address that to the ‘third-world inhabitants’. From the looks of things in the Middle East, they drop kids like a barn yard cat drops kittens.
Hey Pope. Hanging around you is becoming more improper.
If I have 8 kids so they can kill the infidel, do you think he’s OK with that?
Pretty much dooms liberals then.
Hey Frankie! Bite me.
I find that first quote a lot more believable, if coming from Pope Francis. He seems to have fully bought into the Man Made Global Warming crusade. I find it less likely, unfortunately, that he would focus on pronouncement and promotion of “Family Values”, if talking about the nuclear family. Maybe neither quote was actually said by him.
Endless apologies and “clarifications” are generated due to the utterances of this of so politically correct socialist Pope.
Is the pope Catholic? That used to be a rhetorical question.
So, how do we define the word “properly”?
Good question.
If you are muslim, then it is hunky dory to have 8 and live off the state?
My question as well. I have seen some terrifying figures for how much it cost to bring up a single child through college years.
What happened to the saying of God: “Be fruitful and multiply.”??
Bringing them up is one reason I didn’t become a welfare dad and impregnate as many women as I could.
Well that and fear of disease and God’s judgement, and actually caring for the kids I bring into the world.
But the thought did occur to me.
So instead I’m the smart couple in Idiocracy, watching the drunk idiots around me pop kids out by the dozen.
The point is not to have less kids, but for people to grow up and be mature enough to raise kids as they should be brought up.
You can spend as much or little as you like. There’s a whole lot of “free” (and very inexpensive) out there, if you’ll just decide to focus on using those impressively extensive resources.
As for college: my wife & I have 5 degrees, total cost under $150k, paid up front in cash. Lots of ways of not paying list price.
A friend has 15 kids. It’s doable, even if society says it’s not. She’s doing (& looking) fine.
If you read the first two paragraphs, you’ll find that most of the emphasis is on saving the world, saving the planet, avoiding too many people on the earth, and so forth. Just one mention of bringing the kids up “properly”—which probably means training them to be nice and green.
But that’s obviously not this pope’s point.
