You do know the Word referred to is Jesus Christ, right?
In the beginning was God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. “Let us make man in Our Own Image” Note: I was commenting on your “The Church preceded the Scriptures and fixed its canon.” The Word certainly came before the church.
